Scholarship Program
Purpose
The NAACP Willingboro & Vicinity Scholarship Program is a manifestation of the organization’s dedication to empowering the next generation of leaders through education. This scholarship initiative aims to recognize and support outstanding individuals who embody the values of the NAACP by demonstrating academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to social change.
The NAACP Willingboro & Vicinity Branch seeks to eradicate racial prejudice and to eliminate racial discrimination in access to education, employment, housing, and civil rights. NAACP Willingboro & Vicinity Branch scholarships are awarded without regard to race, sex, religion, age, disability, or national origin.
NAACP Willingboro & Vicinity Scholarship 2024
Award: The selected individual(s) from the pool of qualified applicants will be awarded a scholarship for financial assistance during the 2024-25 academic year of $1,000.00.
Qualifications: Interested candidates must meet the following criteria to qualify for this award:
- MUST be a member of the NAACP Willingboro & Vicinity branch, no older than 25 yrs;
- 2 letters of recommendations (cannot be family member);
- Complete 25 hours of community service;
- Submit a 3–5-minute video in the following topic: “Do you think the NAACP is still relevant? Why & How?”
